Thursday: Writing Task - Recount

 !!!Having Fun at the beach with my family!!!

On Saturday 25th of December 2021 my family and I went to Okahu beach.We first put all the snacks in the car and went to my nana house.When we got to my nana's house my parents and I helped cook the shrimps, fish, and pork, it was such a hassle because I had to cook the food while holding my baby cousin. When we were done cooking the food I went and put it in the car and put all the little kids in both cars, far that was way worse than looking after them because they were screaming and wanted to stay out of the car and run after each other. Then finally we got to the beach, I helped my mum and dad take out all the food as well as the snacks,then we layed out the mat to sit down on it to eat some snacks, but I didn’t want to, instead I ran with my brother to the water and yet it was nice and cool. Then me and my brother grabbed out goggles from the car and we went into the water again and looked into the water to see if we could see anything satisfying like rings or lost stuff. We went searching everywhere but we couldn’t find anything so we got out of the water and my parents asked us “if we wanted to go fishing” but I said “it's ok” because there wasn’t enough space for me and I had to go and look after all of my cousins because they were crying to go fishing but my dad said “they have to stay because there going to run up and down the wharf” so I rocked them to sleep one by one and I was finally free, so I went into the water again and heard someone calling my name so looked to my right and I saw my my cousins from my mum's side so I went and asked my aunty if I could go swim with them and she said “yes” so I ran off to my cousins and we played tackle (With a bottle) and tag in the water, it was such an amazing day because I haven’t seen them since I was going school with them. Then I went and sat with my aunty (Their mum) and she gave me a Tip Top ice block and then I dried myself and I asked her “if I could hold baby” and she gave her to me and I walked around with her, she was laughing at her brothers because they were tackling each other and I was tickling her. Then I took her back to her mum and I said “Bye I will see you next time” and I waved to them and I walked back to my aunty and the kids. But it turns out that just when I got back they were packing all the stuff and putting it in the car and we all jumped in the cars and we went home happy and safe.

Conclusion: I had such a wonderful experience with my family, I think that was my favourite day so far and I hope we go to different places this year.
