Samoan Language Week 2020

Preparing to do our Siva

We have come to the end of Samoan Language Week and I have reflected on many things I have learned about Samoa. My Granddad (my Mum's dad) is Samoan and was born in the village of Safotu and grew up in another village called Sataua on the island of Savai'i. He is my connection to the Samoan culture and I am very proud of it. Although I do not speak Samoan I know my Granddad is proud when his grandchildren represent his culture as we did in 2019 for our culture group. See you all again next year for Samoan Language Week 2022!!!

I am second from the right and my sister in the middle getting ready for our performance.
