5 Pacific Patterns and Meanings

These are my Pacific Patterns and we had to pick 5 patterns from that country so I picked:
Maori:

Pakati- Dog skin cloak, representative of warriors/battles/courage and strength.


Niue:

Manulua- Can either represent a bird or a flower. Bringing two groups or families together to form a new union.


Samoa:
Fa'a 'au'upega / Net- This design symbolizes the nets used in catching pidgeons and turtles.

Tonga: 

Amoamokofe- Meaning rubbing with a bamboo stick.


Cook Island:
Mangaia wrist tattoo pattern, Cook Islands, Te Rangihiroa, 1911
